Trump lies so effortlessly, so pervasively, to prop up his pathological narcissism, that there is no tether to reality whatsoever. Personally, it no longer amazes me how truly shameless and absent any shred of honor he is.
He’ll continue to tell himself (and the spellbound lemmings who believe him) that things are just fine, because he has to, he cannot admit otherwise. This is also why he only surrounds himself with lackeys who enable his delusion. He can’t endure dissent much less admit there is any valid dissent.
