"We are all made of star stuff" per Carl Sagan who said it decades ago on his TV show COSMOS and in the book. What does the "all" include?

All three categories in existence? Animal vegetable and mineral? If so then there really is no difference in our beginnings. Where we ended up and how matters not if we all came from the same place. Brick walls and petunias and homo sapiens the same stuff.  Could that be the answer to our search for meaning in life? There is none? It is all random chance and happenstance? How we evolved was simply due to mutations and defects and adapting to our environment in order to survive? Survival of the fittest right?
