    Nobody wins in Afghanistan.
    Not even the people who live there.

    I guess we can claim to have "won", because we lasted longer than the Soviets.  LOL

    I guess it's the longest war we've ever been in so I just assumed we wouldn't leave if we didn't win. SIGH. Thank you for your reply Walt. Actually I sighed twice but I didn't want to repeat myself  Had to let you know though. Truth in advertising right?

    Actually ... Korea is the longest war we've been in.
    That's been a stalemate for many decades.
    Though that appears to be slowly moving towards reunification - it will probably take a few lifetimes.
