Any idiot who is nuts and dumb enough to attach his/her name to the GOP is suicidal. Unless they can spin a total revolution in the GOP party, (which they cannot, too many dinosaurs still left) they are going to lose so badly, that they will never recover.
Trump has ruined the GOP forever. They are going to have to change their name after this.

Unfortunately, the American public failed to learn the major lesson of the 2016 election ... that the elite of the major parties control our choices far more than is healthy. Whether it be the Democrats plotting the rise of their chosen, or it taking a billionaire to fight against the power of the elites on the Republican side.
The only way to save our nation at this point, is a bloody coup overthrowing and forever outlawing political parties.
I think 2016 was fixed by Russia Walt so I'm not so sure that using it in any way would be meaningful. I mean what other prez election was decided by an evil hostile foreign power? Of course it was very successful so certainly Russia will continue its manipulation but now other countries might give it a try. I would not favor a bloody coup. I'm kinda surprised that you do. Perhaps all is planned and fated and nothing we do can change a line of it becomes the Moving Fingers writes and having writ moves on nor all your piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel half a line nor all your tears wash out a word of it. Sadly I know Walt. The SECOND AMENDMENT folks bring that up all the time. That Jefferson wants them to riot and do what needs to be done to make government obey and behave does not impress me at all. I have never been a fan of violence. I don't care who promulgates it. SIGH. It's just an excuse for the militias and wackadoodles to build up more and more arms for that final day when they all can get together and fight to the death. What crap! Will it happen? I think the part that is important ... the qualifier for armed insurrection ... is what he says before that. That the people should be well informed and not remain quiet. And the implication that the people have a duty to resist tyrannical rulers through non-violent means first. But when that fails (as it always does eventually) the people have the right to take up arms against tyrants.
The "2-Party System" is tyranny, hidden under a guise of allowing people a choice. But the options are selected by a few elites. If I give you the option of what to have for a meal, but only offer you dog food or cat food and say you can't choose human food ... it is a false choice. Neither option is suited for you, though you could survive them.
