Are you confident enough in what you THINK to reply extemporaneously and spontaneously in your own words? Does it matter what others think?

Do you need to know first what they think to know what you think? Of course some folks are very articulate and able to think on the spot and express themselves in a most excellent manner. There will always be people who are brilliant at doing so all the time. Sometimes they express things so much better than you can and so you use their words. But that is never as good as using your own words to express your own thoughts and your own feelings and not waiting to find out what your political party thinks or your family thinks or your friends think. Those are knockoffs. Not the real deal. My opinion only of course. Do you agree or dis? I'd much rather have ten words that are all your own than a dissertation that is lengthy perfection but not yours.

I do here all day every day.

But sometimes a good cut and paste just makes it clearer and includes everything. It was a list of facts so no need reword.  Lol This post was edited by my2cents at January 29, 2019 8:25 AM MST

Why be so stringent and hard on people you will only accept extemporaneity and spontaneity?  Are they what life is about?  No we learn to speak in patterns and to communicate and being forced to be "spontaneous" or "extemporaneous"  - who needs that?  And of course it matters what other people think. It is foolish to think we exist as islands unto ourselves -  we need the love and cooperation and stimulus of others.  You may choose to judge people all you want but remember they may judge you as well.

Hmmmm…. it depends on what other people are asking me to think about.  Not all thoughts are complex and many are too complex to just give an off-the-cuff answer.

I do care what other people think.  We are a society and it matters because we all have a say-so in what happens in this nation.
