While the truth is that the majority of people alive today still hold beliefs in God(s), the fallacy in the quote is to claim fear invariably makes believers of everyone. I’ve seen combat cause soldiers to abandon their faith.
I had an uncle who faught in the Korean War gave up his faith; said he could not believe in a God that would allow such atrocities and suffering to occur. He would never discuss what he witnessed
My grandfather faught in the first war and during intense combat would try to make a deal with God -"f you let me survive this battle I promise I will give up the booze and cigarettes and be a good fellow" He did survive with a wound to the neck but never changed. Was a devout Catholic but left the church in his later years.

"Nice guys finish last". I think nice guys often win in the long run. The ones who finish last are the "nice" ones who are really being pushovers ... rather than nice. There's a difference IMO.
“Money can’t buy happiness“ I kinda thinks that’s bullshizzat. Even if I can’t ”buy” happiness, I’m pretty sure I could rent it. That’s close enough for me.
Never heard that one. Would guess most that people tend to fall back on when they can't think of anything to say themselves could well be false. They don't care but they are just looking for something to say. Doesn't matter to them. Most of those sayings are false.. Or very very general.
