Children have no basis for deciding anything unless they have been taught what the choices are, what the consequences are and why certain choices will serve them better. Now of course that takes parents who are always on the job 24/7 caring about what their kids watch on TV, put in their bodies, whom they look up to and why . You can let your kids grow up as a wildflower or you can "plant" them in surroundings that will protect them. You can make sure the weeds won't over run the garden. You can make sure you've watered enough and given the soil the right nutrients. Your choice.
