I was surprised to learn how many there are. John Cage, Arold Schoenbeg, Aaron Copland, Igor Stravinsky to name just few. Additionally other composers known for the lyrical beauty of their compositions also wrote atonal pieces. There must be something there of value beyond the sound. What?
