Is it that they need "daddy" to take care of them? They are afraid to chart their own course and be responsible for their own lives? It is only with "daddy dearest" watching over them protecting then doing everything he can for them (so he says) that they will thrive and stay alive? Seems way odd to me. Peculiar.
