When asked his favorite book BESIDES bible/art of the deal don said "All Quiet on the Western Front". Why wasn't he asked WHY?

Or what his favorites scenes in the book were? Just in case he didn't have a clue because he never really read it?

I bet he could not tell you the plot if his life depended on it.

All Quiet on the Western Front.  By Eric Maria Remarque   I did not read the thing, but I bet you I know more about that story than he does.

I have not read it Sharon but I did see the movie many decades ago. I think it bears re-seeing because as I recall it is moving account of what war is really like. But war is not my favorite subject. The don said today he LOVES to read but he doesn't have any time to do so. Of course he doesn't. He watches FAUX news and other cable shows 24/7 and tweets while watching as he is in his jammies eating McDonald's cheeseburgers. Unless he grew more hands and a brain he really doesn't have time for anything but golf and travel and eating and insulting and attacking and lying and pitching folks to give him the Nobel Peace prize.. That is a full load. Thank you for your reply! :) I just GOOGLED it Sharon. After reading what it is about I TOTALLY and ABSOLUTELY doubt it is don's third favorite book or that he read any of it. From the description alone it would take someone with a brain and a heart and a soul to relate to these war-weary GERMAN soldiers. The don has zero capacity to grasp the misery of their situation. What a bad choice for him to have given. He does not have the right stuff to wade through it, understand it, cope with what is being shared and walk away having found the time spent educational insightful and oh so very sad. He probably saw part of the movie.  I said PART because the movie has nothing to do with HIM so I doubt if he could pay attention.

Also, I think the IRONY of the BIBLE and a war tome being his favorites, speaks volumes about a very BI-POLAR mentality.

Of course he said the bible to please his racist base. They are all so very Christianly. I wonder if don was baptized? I'm gonna Google it and find out. Not that it means anything. Thank you for your reply Sharon.

I would be surprised if he were baptized as an infant.  His father was a soulless creature who married a soulless creature.   Sort of like his marriage to Ivanka.   If he did get baptized, it would have been for some show.   Nothing to do with any spiritual anything.

It would have been to identify with a supporting tribe, like his fake sanctimonious PENCE-acting, base.

I bet Pence stares at himself in the mirror at least once a day for an hour to make sure he keeps that same composed serene zealot stare into space in tact for the TV monitors.

I would imagine that Trump spent more time reading Playboy Magazine. Don't laugh, that magazine has some good short stories such as 'Duel'. It was made into a movie. A busy youngster as Trump was in his younger days didn't give him much time for reading since he was busy making his first billion dollars. I saw on TV the other day about the wealth of our Presidents compared in today's dollars. Lincoln was way near the bottom but Trump is the wealthiest by far.

Thank you for your reply bh. Fred his daddy dearest bailed him out financially countless times. He was a MILLIONAIRE as a young child. His daddy dearest made it happen. He is a lousy dealmaker businessman. But then I know you don't believe me. You believe him. Sigh. Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday! :) This post was edited by RosieG at February 24, 2019 7:13 AM MST

What I believe are the nice golf courses and resorts he has 'control' of. Good for him.

    Playboy magazine.

That was a real supreme effort on the part of WHITEY to glorify women as sex objects and put an intellectual spin on it so it was OKAY to leer at naked women's sex organs.

    Seriously.

I read many good articles in Playboy.  I read the same articles in other books and mags that did not have women's boobs and butts and whatever leering at me so I could get off while I was reading.

His REAL favorite book was Dick and Jane.  See Spot.  See Spot run.  See Jane.  See Jane wearing shorts.  Dick likes shorts.
