If you gave me wealth and position and power, I may think you walked on water too.

If you are a person who accepts such "gifts", you had better be a person who can swallow what is expected back from you.

That is what the Trump hierarchy really is.

Now those on the outside looking in are in admiration of these HOLY MEN who are so brilliant.  (And women who fawn over the holy men).  The Evangelical right has put this Nation to the test.  The holy right and FOX NEWS are marching to save Amerika and put it on its Abortion-free, Medicare-free,  climate control- free path to HELL and no return.

AND it has a mindless zombie base to ensure they are successful. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at February 28, 2019 3:11 AM MST

No matter how hard I try to CONVOLUTE my mind Sharon I shall never be able to figger out why anyone can STAND little donny dingbat let alone adore worship and prostrate/sacrifice themselves for him. Never. I know one man's food is another man's poison. I thought it was just a saying. Ya know want? It's not. Little donny dingbat is rat poison and look at the millions who lap it up as if it were divine gourmet fare? Sheesh. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday! :)

Trump charismatic? I don't think so.

I found Ubama charismatic - so dignified, measured and urbane -
and that he did not fully succeed with his agenda was not his fault
since he never had a sufficient majority.

But Trump does tell his heartland exactly what they want to hear - so of course they love it.
Also, he breaks the mould of what we normally expect of politicians.
He rarely gives a prepared speech,
he twits his tweets with as much thought as a chook,
he doesn't worry about whether what he's saying is factual,
he uses emotive words to guide his followers' views,
when he makes a serious blooper he tries to back track and recuse himself,
    he contradicts himself.
I think some folks think that makes him charmingly human.

Maybe I would just laugh good-naturedly if it were the curmudgeon next door,
but in the president of the largest economy and one of the biggest populations in the world,
it's just plain scary. This post was edited by inky at February 28, 2019 3:14 AM MST
