The HOUSE introduced, voted on and passed a bill rejecting don's ego project wall "national emeregency". What happens next?
Allegedly Rand Paul will vote with the Dems in the Senate which will be all the votes needed for the Senate to join the House in the rebuke. Then little dingbat will veto it. What will it take to override dingbat?
It will be interesting to see if his veto is overridden by Congress.
It reveals a pretty obvious shortcomings of our system, though.
Once Congress passes a law to give the President more power ... they have to rely on the President to use that power wisely, or be willing to sign a law removing that power.
Even if the Judiciary rules against him - they really have no power to enforce such rulings. President Andrew Jackson reportedly said (regarding a Supreme Court ruling he disagreed with): "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!"
Isn't there something they call VETO-PROOF? So Congress can override a veto or prevent it from ever taking place if they have enough votes to prevent it. We shall see if they cave and rollover whimpering so that little don can have his way them again in the Senate. With a Dem majority in the House his days of glory are over there. Especially with his nemesis NANCY PELOSI on watch eyeing him as she salivates! She is fierce, ferocious and just waiting for him to make the wrong move. A TIGRESS. He is a tiny itty bitty little polywog. No contest. I think I'm gonna ask. Thank you for your reply Walt.
