You're madly in love. If you could foresee that marrying that person would cause your death futurely would you marry him/her anyway?

Your beloved is a heavy smoker and so the years of second-hand smoke will harm your health. You will get emphysema and die. So if you had a chance to see what awaits thee, how would you decide? Also remember your children would be subjected to the smoky environment until they grew up and moved out by which time it could be too late for them too.

Ay one time people used to put up with my smoking I guess because they just liked being with me which is not to say that any of them were ?madly in love with me.  They just enjoyed who I was enough they were able to put up with that.  Though sometimes they would encourage me to stop,

    Nope.  That's a total deal-breaker for me.
I can't stand the smell of cigarettes or beer.
I have actually walked out on a date, when she lit up a cigarette.  (my dating profile said "no smokers")
I don't even care if they don't smoke around me - I don't want to smell their stinky clothing, furniture, or breath.

((hugs)) Platonic hug  Walt. Remember I'm 81 and harmless. Folks who smoke are always so dam* defensive and NEVER EVER address the issue of second-hand smoke death. I can't stand the stench that never leaves them. Our next-door neighbor is a very nice lady whose company we avoid. She STINKS. You go into her house and you have to breathe through your mouth. The stench will knock you down and out otherwise. It is that bad. But she can't smell it because she must have totally destroyed her olfactory nerve(s)  Thank you for your reply.

    No.

Smoking is so nauseating that I would not get near the person TO love him.  And smoking is SELFISH.  I don't see love manifesting anywhere.

All she would have to do is utter or write the word "futurely" one time and I'd be out of there. (Jayne, you're exempt from this rule.  Dont even think it's a way out.)
