You have TONS of things to do none of which are delayable. Do you do the ones you dislike most first and save the best for last?
None of them can be put off until you "get around to it". None of them can be sluffed off on anyone to do for you. Your favorite dessert first or your least-liked vegetables?
I always do he ones I least like doing first Walt. Get them over with. Then the rest I glide and slide through. It's like tking the castor oil and then rewarding yourself with the chocolate cake. Of course I'm gonna use food as an example being as how I'm a FOODIE! Thank you for your reply m'dear! :)
Neither. Liking is irrelevant if something must be done, and there's always the satisfaction that comes afterwards.
I decide on tasks according to three factors.
One is priorities - which are the most urgent? which will save money, time and effort if done now?
The second is ease v. difficulty - how quickly can it be done? how much time and work is involved? how much will the materials cost? do I have the equipment and resources? what steps and preparation are required?
Finally I ask, how does it affect my long term goals and prospects?
When it's all written out in columns, the choices of which should be done first become obvious.
Perhaps it's true that "liking" is irrelevant to you NdP. It isn't to me. I do the least-liked first and then do the most liked as a reward. I shall compare it to taking castor oil and then rewarding yourself with chocolate cake. We all have an MO we follow. That's mine. As a retired Internal Auditor I did the same thing. I loved the work but parts of it I loved more than others. You do the tedious repetitive first and then you tackle the challenging exciting demanding. Preparing the garden for planting precedes planting and seeing things grow and bloom. At least that is what works for me. Different strokes. Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday to thee! :)
