You THINK you totally and truly understand something. But you don't! What happens when you find out you didn't have a clue?

So when you learn you  were way off base do you get very disappointed? Do you wonder about all the other things you THINK you know that you don't know at all?

What izzit that causes you to think you understand/comprehend/"get it"? How do you know when you know and when you don't? Trial and error?

    I adjust.  Accordingly.   I am a survivor.

I know it will never interfere with things I KNOW to be true that ultimately matter.  Life is small.  We are eternal.  So?  I adjust and try to survive with my integrity.

This happens to me CONSTANTLY Sharon. I'm sure I "get it" and then find out later on it went over my head completely. Now the latest example was yesterday. A small thing but important nevertheless. I was informed by an Answermug pal that the song "The Yellow Rose of Texas" was about a Mulato woman. A high yellow they are called? I thought the song was about a woman who loved yellow roses! Seriously. I totally had no clue. So what other things do I think I know I don't? That is very very scary! Thank you for your reply! :)  Aye  yi yi!  :( This post was edited by RosieG at March 7, 2019 4:16 AM MST
