Yes. It's weird. The song contradicts itself and agrees with us in the end, Rosie.

don't know the next line.... but the final line is
so, find yourself somebody to love.
So, there ya go. They know you are nobody until you are in LOVE. I think that is what they mean and you are so right. BE the one who is giving it away freely to any and all and you are what GOD intended you to be.
((hugs)) Exactly right! Thank you for your reply Sharon. How I take that line "find yourself somebody to love) is so YOU WILL BE LOVED and thus you will be somebody. You didn't take it that way though. I have no idea what the lyricist meant. :)
That depends on what type of "love" you refer to, I guess. (romantic, familial, friendship, etc) I mean, if you don't have ANY love for anybody ... and nobody has any love for you ... nah, I still couldn't say you're nobody. Though if not even an animal loves you ... there's probably something wrong with you.
I think it doesn't matter what the nature of that love is Walt. Love of others (platonic/romantic) love of other animals, love of life, love of natur, love of what you do, love of poetry or music or the arts. Whatever kind of positive love there is. Just feel it for someone or something. Now of course there are others forms of "love" which aren't love at all. I exclude those. Thank you for your reply! :) I think Donald J. Trump has never loved anyone but himself and therefore he is a nobody and a nobody he shall always be to me.
