Are there any singers today you can "sing along with"? In the olden days you could sing along with all of them. Is singing obsolete?

In the golden olden days it didn't matter who was singing. Ella Fitzgerald. Nat Kind Cole. Perry Como. Frank Sinatra. Fred Astaire. Didn't matter. Today what's out there that you WANT to sing along with or to?

What prompted this? Well yesterday in the Waiting Room golden oldies were being played. In my mind I sang along with Ella when she sang "Someone to watch over me" and I sang long with Frank when he sang " The Tender Trap". There were others. It made me feel happy. Put me in a very good mood.

Years ago you could Steve Perry or Donald Fagan or Stevie Nicks or Sting. With whom can you sing along  today?

Maybe Country & Western is the only musical left where you got someone you can actually sing along with. I dunno.

Watch America's Got Talent.  You can usually pick up songs that are current that way.

Or the radio.  There is still music.  Catch the Grammy's if you can stomach that.  That showcases a lot of what is current.

I sing with any song I know the words to. You can still sing it is just different styles of singing.
I know songs of every type. I have changed to contemporary Christian music most of the time. Still many different styles there as well.

But mostly it comes down to do you know the song.
