They were lauded and applauded for "joining up". They wore the uniform of whatever branch they joined with great pride. Many of them died in service to their country. The parents were afraid for them but VERY PROUD of them and would never have considered lying to keep them out of the draft. Have such young men been phased out of the species? Did cowardice replace service to your country? What happened why did it happen and are you a fan of such people? D'ya think it's stupid to put your life on the line for your country in a foreign country? D'ya think very smart people avoid their duty obligation and very dumb ones don't? The decline of western civilization begins with cowardice or just not giving a dam*?
