Even tho its quite small, it still have like 66 millions people. Its a mighty country, but quite small. It wouldn't compete with bigger countries such as canada or USA.
Not so mighty as it once was, in the 17th to early 19th century. French military history is long and enviable, going back to the time of the Gauls. But France hasn’t won a major battle on its own in almost 200 years. France is a nuclear power, and Paris is one of history’s most important cities.
Depends on how you define Mighty. They have a top notch Military and are a nuclear power. They are also a world opinion leader which is more powerful than a Nuke. On the downside they have Macron and a host of social problems.
