    Nope.  Here's hint:  Time is represented by a straight line.

    I'll reply again later.  I'm still working on this and don't want to cheat by looking up the answer.  Until then I assume you are right but that's not the answer I have, so far, Ms. Pus-filled Boil (gags).

    Right.  You know the over all length (of time) = 180 minutes.  You also know the length of three short lengths in terms of X:  X, 2X and 48.  Adding all these together and solving for X, gives the answer.  That took a whole day for me to figure out.  I'm trying to keep my mind from slowing down too much.  It shouldn't take that long.

    It's simple.

    Let's forget clocks and do the algebra.

    Between 9 AM and 12 PM there are 180 minutes.

    Let the minutes to 12 be X. 48 Minutes ago, it was 2X past 9.

    So, X+ 48 + 2X = 180

    3X+48 =180
    3X= 132
    X=44

    So it's 44 Minutes to 12 PM or 11:16 AM

    48 minutes ago it was 10:28 AM which is 88 Minutes past 9 AM. This post was edited by engineerIsTerminator at March 26, 2019 1:42 AM MDT
