  • A squeeze of fresh lemon juice on steamed green vegetables. Tastes delicious, especially Maya lemons. The vitamin C helps to better absorb more of the iron in the greens. Important for me because I am a vegetarian.

Meyer Lemons? I have never heard of Maya Lemons hartfire. We have a Meyer Lemon tree in our backyard which is  prodigiously productive! I did not know you were a vegetarian. If you told me I forgot. Jim and I eat more veggies, fruits, beans, nuts and seeds than we do meat so we could easily convert,. Not vegan though. Vegetarian definitely.. BUT we do eat meat occasionally and eat a lot of salmon and tuna (wild caught only) . Thank you for  your reply. I use lemon juice when I make homemade chicken soup! I also add lemon juice to salad salad dressings! Thank you for your reply! :)

The only time I ever liked tea was as a kid when my mom made what she referred to as "Cambric tea". It had milk and sugar in it and was very tummy-soothing. Thank you for your reply MrWitch and Happy Monday! :)

Put a cookie sheet in the freezer. Mix one part lemon juice, one part sugar, and two parts water. Add a bit of lemon zest (optional). Pour 1/2 cup into a zipper sandwich bag and lay it flat on the cookie sheet. Allow to freeze completely. Take a bag and beat it into submission with a wooden tool. Pour it into a dish and enjoy. It's called granita di limoni.

Lemon cream pie is pretty damn good. So are Sidecars: equal parts lemon, brandy, and triple sec.

    I love lemons

    TOTALLY

I can put them in everything practically.     When I used to eat steak I would squirt it on top of a rare steak with salt.

Some people start their day with it Marguerite. I have tried it and it isn't my cuppa tea. I do love lemon especially in homemade chicken soup. It really perks it up. Salad dressings too. I'm not a Tartar sauce gal but I love lemon on fish. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday! :)
