If you recognize your true colors and don't like them can you change them? If you're selfish can you learn how not to be? How?

Can you change hate to ...well maybe not love but to tolerate?

Can you change greedy to its opposite or mean to its opposite or deceitful to its opposite?

Impossible dream or not as hard as it may seem?

    Can I?  Or can anyone?

I can.  And it depends on how mentally developed you are.

Impatience. Bigly. I recognize it and I don't like but I can't seem to do a dam* thing about it! Here's the kicker! When people are PATIENT with me I so appreciate it and them. Yet I can't seem to give to others what I so value in receiving. Thank you for your reply Sharon and Happy Friday! :)

In general ... people don't change.
As the stereotype self-help course says:  The first step is to admit you have a problem.
Most people don't want to admit they have a problem.

I admit I have a problem. Impatience. Sometimes I hurt people's because of it. I value patience a great deal and when others are very patient with me I am very appreciative. Why can't I extend to others what they so kindly extend to me? Knowing isn't helping. SIGH. Thank you for your reply Walt and Happy Friday. I keep telling myself "be patient" but then I snap at people because they're not deciding fast enough to suit me or whatever. SIGH. Someone said to me long ago "I don't like how you treat people". That set me back quite a bit. When I'm in the throes of it the impatience takes over and I forget. Then of course after I realize I screwed up again!
