    How about ALL parents once were children? However, it does not follow that all children will become parents. The gift of parental guidance, for those who grow up exposed to it, and as imperfect a gift as it sometimes is, cannot be repaid. It can only be transferred, for those who so choose to transfer it to a next generation.
