From a young age boys are told not to cry, yet it's the opposite for girls

Do you think it's because some believe crying is a sign of weakness.  Could it actually be a sign of strength.  What do you think.

    Sugar, Nobody tells them to cry, it's just that they aren't discouraged.  Like I'd mentioned prior, maybe it isn't as prevalent these days as it used to be, I don't really know.  I was just curious how others saw it.

    Um,when I was growing up I heard the same thing,but as a girl,I was told Don't cry just the same. Babies cry,they said.
