Yes. I guess the song was written about a child who has dyslexia and attempts to succeed to please her parents, but is abused because the parents suck and assume it's a discipline issue. I was never dyslexic, but I did grow up in an abusive home where normal behaviors and things beyond our control as children resulted in abuse as if we were intentionally being "bad."
