Wouldn't it be AWESOME if our pets had the same lifespans we do? Then we would never have to mourn the loss. Which pet was your favorite?

    Ya it would be nice but on the other hand it would mean that I wouldn't of had the other 3 dogs I've had. I have raised 3 dogs from puppy to death do  us part and the dog I have now still has 5 years or so left before he passes on. Sad part is he will probably be the last dog I raise because I'm at the age were I might not live long enough or be healthy enough to take care of a new dog. Cheers and happy weekend!

    Thank you for your thoughtful reply Nanoose. Well that's exactly why Jim and I did not get another cat when our beloved Tigger passed away. It will be two years ago this July. We're 81 and 83 respectively and we believe it would be unfair to the pet. I mean who would take care of him/her if our pet outlived us which would be quite likely. SIGH.
