Is income inequality a crisis as is being reported? If true what do we do about it?

I don't think income inequality is a crisis.
Some are always going to making far more than others.

What IS a crisis is the fact that the middle class is shrinking ... because wages have not kept up with inflation.
I actually LOST earnings a couple years ago, even though I had a 3% raise - because inflation rose 4%.
So my earnings were actually worth less than before.

I heard the other day that Bank of America is going to raise its minimum wage to $20, by 2021.
They had raised it to $15 a couple years ago.

The government is considering raising federal minimum wage to $15/hour.
    A bill endorsed by Amazon.

Thank you for your reply Walt. The experts disagree with you. So do some billionaires. Doesn't matter though. What will be will be. Que sera sera!

Y'know what they say, Rosie ... actions speak louder than words.
So if those billionaires actually truly disagree, and think income inequality is a crisis ... why are they still billionaires?
Why haven't they given most of their money to projects to end that inequality?  Why haven't they paid off home loans for poor people, for instance?  How many average homes could a billionaire buy?

No.  The truth is, they don't really think it's a crisis.  They are just saying they do, so people don't think they are "evil".

In what totalitarian nightmare is everyone ever going to be earning the same amount?   We all have different abilities, different capacities to learn, different levels of industriousness, differing abilities to sell ourselves or our products or services, different products and services to sell.  Some of which will always be more sought after and so more successful than others.  Which is just the way things are and have always been.
