    That I know my friend but you've had your share of not-so-hot weather too. N'oreasters sometimes get you too don't they? Thank you for your reply L! :)

    Yes, we do get nor'easters but they aren't as frequent or as damaging as in other parts of the country.  We have had some pretty big snowstorms in my lifetime, but nothing that has equaled what is happening in the upper midwest this week.  Tons of snow on top of tons of snow.  It's hard to imagine they will even thaw out before summer!

    Nope.  We have Haboobs.  And I saw the beginnings of a doozy just  two days ago.

    haboob (Arabicهَبوب‎, translit. habūblit. 'blasting/drifting') is a type of intense dust storm carried on an atmospheric gravity current, also known as a weather front. Haboobs occur regularly in dry land area regions throughout the world.
