Cosmology is a Branch of science. It was not born, it just grew.
Did you mean the Cosmos (the Universe)? I am pretty sure it was not born of any kind of mother either. How it came into being is disputed. It is quite certain though that there were no cameras around to take a picture with when it was 'born'.
Too bad really ;) If only the Angels had made a home video while God created it, then we would know how it happened. Alas they did not (or else it is hidden away and forgotten in some anglic attic) so we do not really know how it happened. That is one thing cosmology is trying to figure out.
