Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» If you threaten to kill someone can you be jailed for it? How powerful are words? How much weight do they carry. Can they cause death?
If it's deemed a "credible threat", you can. Saying you are going to kill someone, in the heat of an argument, is not usually considered a "credible" threat. But that can change, if you have a visible weapon.
Yes, words can cause death. How many people have heart attacks, when they receive bad news? I don't know if there are any specific numbers, but I know it happens.
But if words can cause death Walt that means the person had a bad heart or a weak heart and shock would be an enemy Right? I wonder if those who threaten carry out threats a lot? Who is more dangerous? The person who makes threats or the one who just acts without any warning? I'm gonna ask. Thank you for your reply! :)
