Well, if nothing else, we know he survived the surgery and that's a good start. :)

He's like us.  He is a trooper.  

Good for him.  I just sent him a message for whenever he feels up to reading it.

No surgery...no sympathy points.

Someday, you may get around to telling us what is going on.  I hope you are okay.  Don't need surgery?  That may be good or bad.  If the condition is not correctable that way, that means you have to search for another viable alternative.
