We all know COMPULSIVE LIARS are diseased. Ever hear of the disease of being a COMPULSIVE BELIEVER?

A successful COMPULSIVE LIAR requires COMPULSIVE BELIEVERS. Millions of folks will believe anything the compulsive liar tells them. It is a symbiotic relationship. Each needs the other. Together united forever they roll forward. It is a behemoth of evil. Gargantuan in its scope. Ugly. It is now the way much of the world operates. Progress. It didn't begin in the United States but it is there where it has bloomed and blossomed and flowered most best. Another black mark on our history. Many more to come. Stay tuned.

    The field of psychology describes this as Cognitive Dissonance or willful ignorance.
    I don’t think Desperation can be entirely dismissed either.

    Desperation due to what DB? Fear and hate most probably. The Compulsive Liars promulgates fear and hate and the compulsive believers believe every word which of course exacerbates the situation. Is the compulsive liar desperate too? Desperate for what? That all his lies shape a world he'd rather live than the one he does? Just thought of another question. Thank you for your reply!  :)

    I do no like when bad behavior is basically excused as a disease. 

    A liar is a liar not a compulsive liar.
    A cheater is a cheater not a sex addict.
    A thief is a thief not a kleptomaniac.
