    I would choose happier now that I'm older.  When you're young, you have year to go in which to straighten out things in your life that make you unhappy.  As you age, your time shortens and I would want to reach my expiration date being as happy as possible.

    Think.  Why would it make ANY sense to want to be happier in the PAST?  WHY?  What would you possibly have to look forward to?  What do you do then?  Be miserable and settle for just remembering and boring people about the good old days?

    I want to be happy in the present.  Not the past.  The past is gone.  Not the future.  The future has not happened.  I want to be happy.  NOW.
