I'm guessing it is because y'all always cheer for home team and all the cheerers are also the best BAD there is. Right? You admire yourself bigly. You admire those who are like you exactly bigly too? Why wouldn't you?
So you float through life then totally involved in not sinking unaware of the world around you and also unconcerned uninterested and uninvolved? I see. Your choice. Different strokes for different folks. Thank you for your reply sb.
As psychiatry has pointed out, liberalism is indeed a mental illness, possibly incurable. I think that many people adore it when the very best win and consider it bad when people simply don't like winners. Anyway, the bigger and badder they are, the harder they fall.
This literally made me LOL, so thank you for that. "Psychiatry" has not pointed anything out. Researchers have often studied the correlation between personality and political belief. That would be correlation, not causation. One does not cause the other. Correlation simply means two items are seen together with higher incidences. A report many years ago concluded that those who rated high in "Psychoticism" were more likely to be conservative. A correlation. This is NOT a mental illness. It's a personality category. It's linked with things like risk-taking, less respect for established order, liveliness, and creativity. It came out many years later that the person performing the study got it wrong. Those ranking high in psychoticism were more likely to be liberal. Somehow, when the media picked it up, psychoticism became "psychotic." lol Cute trick, really.
The reality is, "psychiatry" hasn't made any major conclusions about any political parties. And, it really doesn't take a scientist to figure out that people who dislike the order of the government would lean liberal. But, that doesn't mean all liberals rank high in psychoticism either. The correlation was the other way around. I'm sure if people dig through the data enough, they'll find both positive and negative traits associated with both sides.
As I've explained to you before tom some things I grasp very quickly. Other times there are some things I struggle mightily with and this is one of them. I cannot for the life of me fathom celebrating hugely successful BAD or AWFUL. For any reason. I guess my brain isn't elastic enough to stretch that far. I think people would be repulsed by it. Revolted. Disgusted. Not make up a a cheering section to support defend embrace it. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)
