It is infuriating! People will ALWAYS justify bad today by reaching back to AWFUL TERRIBLE CRAPPY before. Why?
How is that illuminating, energizing, inspiring? Crappy folks today should be annihilated not celebrated. What the heck is wrong with y'all that you not only tolerate but REJOICE in the monstrous bully corrupt evildoers winning? It's nuts!
IMO, this is why it's so difficult to defeat incumbent candidates. It's less about the money they can raise ... it's that they won the last election.
When I point out the "awful terrible crappy before" - I am showing how we got to today. People let that stuff go back then, so why would you expect them not to do so today?
It's sort of like that saying: "A dollar here, a dollar there, and pretty soon we're talking a lot of money." A little evil here, a bit there, and pretty soon the public has grown so used to it you can get away with anything.
Touche m'dear. Hard as I try to refute your reply I cannot. Why? You don't refute truth. I don't. But then we get to WHY? WHY are people awful terrible crappy? Is that the only way they can win and winning is the only thing the everything? All there is? SIGH. Thank you for your reply Walt. I guess homo saps will never change. Some will be awesomely good, some awesomely bad, most will be in-between changing positions to survive. :(
