CONSTITUTIONALLY LEGALLY it is CONGRESS that declares war. Not the sb prez. CONGRESS is CLUELESS about Iran. Ain't it grand?
Is the sb prez getting his orders from Putin? Is he purposely goading Iran to do something so we can do something bigger worser terribler awfuller? Does the sb prez even know what he wants? Or is he "playing it by ear" to "see what happens"?
Historically ... Congress has been unwilling to "reign in" a President, as far as going to war. Congress has not declared a war since WW2 ... yet look at all the wars we have been in.
One should ask WHY Congress doesn't want to reclaim their authority.
You wanna ask or shall I giving you blind attribution for the excellent question of course? So Congress has ceded authority long ago? Almost 80 years ago? I dunno. T'is a puzzlement. Thank you for your reply Walt! :)
