    Perhaps.  But as long as that is the only way they have to feel powerful and superior they will continue to do it daily.

    Being a bully means you pick on someone weaker than you, for no reason other than to make yourself feel good ("because I can").

    So yeah ... you could be a bully to a bully.
    But if you take them down to defend the people the bully is picking on - that is not being a bully.

    As to non-violent ways to "take a bully down" ... shunning is a good method.
