    No.  He lives in the next city, now.  He's very much alive.  I just heard from him two days ago.  He's visiting his mother in Ohio, I think.  I didn't even think you knew him.

    What is?  

    We never knew the animal.  And his picture is all over the place.  He's fine as far as I'm concerned.  He was just a picture to me.  He has zillions of clones.
