    Her main customers, at this point, are "drag queens".

    There's actually a lot of young women buying colored contacts.
    Especially if they have dark eyes, it seems.

    Unfortunately, my friend's prices are "high" - because she is selling quality contacts.  
    But most people buy the cheap (not just price-wise) ones from China.  Sometimes the packages aren't even sealed, and who knows what the factory conditions are.  We have heard complaints from people paying $10 for a "1 year" contact pair that they feel like sandpaper - but they aren't willing to pay $23 for a quality "3-month" pair.
