Is it harder to prove a negative or a positive? Harder to prove absence of or presence of? Is it harder to prove the sb prez is/isn't crazy?

    Part of the reason why our court system is set up as "innocent until proven guilty", is that it is virtually impossible to prove you did NOT commit a crime (IE: prove your innocence).

    This is also why some government agency courts are sometimes set up opposite.
    EG: If a business is charged with NOT paying wages, they have to prove they are innocent.
    Why?  Because they should have records showing they DID pay wages.  So they are proving a positive.
