The djp sez he never worked with Russia to help him get elected prez. "RUSSIA IF YOU'RE LISTENING....." doesn't count?

The djp BEGGED RUSSIA on TV to find the 33,000 emails of Hilary Clinton and promised they'd be rewarded  bigly for it. Guess what happened 5 hours later THAT AFTERNOON? You guessed it. Russia hacked away and began to hack and slay all things Hillary and the rest is history via the group of which the djp said in multiplilcity "I LOVE WIKILEAKS!"

He forgets he begged Russia on national TV for Russian assistance and refuses to acknowledge they came to his rescue THAT VERY SAME DAY and meddled in the 2016 prez election ON HIS BEHALF very hugely and bigly which is what caused the investigation in Russian interference from beginning in the first place. Convenient memory gap.

Everyone knows Russia meddled. FBI claims in favor of Trump. Trump simply worded it wrong once on Twitter.

To this day no one can show one ad that would have caused anyone to change their mind and vote for Trump.
    ..........

“Russia, Russia, Russia! That’s all you heard at the beginning of this Witch Hunt Hoax...And now Russia has disappeared because I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected,” Trump wrote on Twitter.

    From WH:
The @nytimes clearly knows this is NOT TRUE. @realDonaldTrump stated unequivocally during his presser this is FALSE.

The editors at @nytimes want nothing more than to take one typo and have it redefine 10,000 on the record comments. Disgusting and unprofessional!

That whole Russian "collusion" business - which seems to now have become an article of faith for many people - you have to BELIEVE! -  is really an insult and a slap in the face to many of us.   When it appeared Mr. Trump had a chance of winning in 2016 that whole thing was trotted out in an attempt to swing the election to his opponent.  Which if I recall correctly was very close to election day.  When it failed many people could just not accept the idea that many of us voted for Trump - which meant we did not buy into their liberal consensus and their attempts to "perfect " us - they had to come up with the whole "collusion" thing to preserve their sanity because they just could not accept that everyone did not think like them.  So they found a third party to "blame" it on.  Which they have ridden for years but which only says that those of us who differ from their political notions do not exist, or do not count.  So to them because we disagree with them we must be some kind of dupes of a foreign government!   Which is extreme denial.  I don't know of anyone told by any Russians to vote for Mr. Trump.   And even if we had been why do they imagine we would just go out and do that?  Out of loyalty to Russia?  That is so obviously absurd!  Russians have never done anything for us so why would place our trust in them?  Seems that so many people would much rather live their lives in fairy  tales than admit the truth.

Trump has yet to confirm that Russia meddled in our elections.  He has danced around the facts numerous times, so to say "everyone knows that Russia meddled" means everyone but Trump.  Nothing happens in Russia that Putin does not sanction.  For Trump to say that when Putin said he had nothing to do with the meddling he believed him is disingenuous.  Same for his belief that the Saudi prince had no knowledge of Khashoggi's murder.

President Trump has said many times that he believes Russia meddled in the election starting in Jan 2017, again in July 2017, again in Nov 2017,  again in Jul 2018.....

Jan 11, 2017 · For the first time, President-elect Donald J. Trump concedes Russia probably meddled in the election. Mr. Trump’s evocation of Nazi persecution prompts a fierce blowback.

The president also insists no collusion took place between Russian officials and his presidential campaign. Putin told Trump he had nothing to do with election meddling.  Trump said he would take him at his word.  I see you believe Putin, too.

Trump has no problem insulting everyone else, but he doesn't want to insult Putin.  I guess he's afraid his comrade won't let him build Trump tower Moscow.   This post was edited by SpunkySenior at June 1, 2019 10:53 AM MDT

Where did I say I believed Putin?? I do not care what Putin says.  The point is President Trump said numerous times that he believes Russia meddled. I just gave you several links. President Trump has been tougher on Russia than any other President since Reagan.

In response to Russian interference in the 2016 election and other malfeasance, the Trump Administration has sanctioned Russian oligarchs and intelligence entities.

Throughout 2017 and 2018, the U.S. sanctioned numerous Russian actors for violating non-proliferation laws by supporting weapons programs in Iran and Syria, and supporting North Korea's development of weapons of mass destruction.

The Trump Administration has issued sanctions against more than one hundred Russian actors and firms for Russia's destabilizing actions in Ukraine and its ongoing occupation of Crimea.

In March 2017, in response to Russia's use of a military-grade chemical weapon in the United Kingdom, the Trump Administration ordered multiple Russian consulates in the United States closed and expelled 60 Russian intelligence officers.

Due to sanctions imposed by the Trump Administration, the Russian economy and Russian geo-economic projects have been severely constrained.

In 2018, as Russian investors reacted to new sanctions, the Russian Ruble made its biggest fall in over three years, and, as of July 2018, is down nearly nine percent against the dollar.

As a part of its sanctions against Russia, the United States has prevented numerous companies from partnering with Russian offshore oil projects, denying these projects access to capital and key resources.

The Trump Administration has also opposed Russian President Vladimir Putin's largest geo-economic project, the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, which could generate hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for Russia.

In the wake of Russian provocations, President Trump has exercised U.S. military power and worked to bolster U.S. allies in Europe.

In 2017, President Trump approved the sale of lethal weapons to Ukraine addressing the country's vulnerability to Russian-backed separatists in its eastern provinces.

Under the Trump Administration, Russian mercenaries and other pro-Syrian regime forces attacking U.S. troops in Syria were killed.

The U.S. has increased troops and its military capability in Eastern Europe and dramatically increased training and drills with its NATO partners.

In 2018, the U.S. Department of Defense increased its spending as part of the European Deterrence Initiative by $1.4 billion dollars.

Due to pressure from President Trump, U.S.' NATO allies have increased defense expenditures by five percent.

What did Obama do? Tell Putin to "quit it" and have them push a plastic mistranslated "reset" button....oooh scary.

I think that that statement (alonje) wasn't collusion, but rather egotistical stupidity.  trump's a pompous a$$ who speaks long before he considers what he's saying.  He thought by his saying that it'd make him look bigger (mudslinging).   I seriously doubt he thought that they'd actually do it.   (I am by no means saying he's innocent of any collusion).

I disagree  Shuhak. I think THE FIX WAS IN before the sb prez came down that escalator. Thank you for your thoughtful reply. Do I know for sure? Of course not. I just think they could not have reacted IN FIVE HOURS if they didn't know what was coming and if it were not PREPLANNED! :( This post was edited by RosieG at May 31, 2019 12:50 PM MDT
