Aren't they the same? Stand at the edge of the Grand Canyon. If you are afraid of how high you are, then you are probably afraid of how deep it is.

No. When I says DEPTHS I refer to the Marianas Trench...the deepest place charted under  ocean water on earth to my knowledge. When I say depths I mean down below the surface of the ocean or a river. Ever been under one E? River or ocean? Many decades ago I was riding in a car in a tunnel beneath the Detroit River (I believe it was that) connecting Detroit, Michigan to Windsor, Canada. I got very claustrophobic as I imagined the water crashing through. There were guards walking up and down looking up and on the sides and ceiling for any trace of leakage. I was terrified. Also I asked a question about a restaurant in Norway located beneath the ocean. I would not like to dine there. Also I would not enjoy being in a submarine or bathyspphere. My fear of heights matches my fear of depths. What about you? Would you enjoy eating at a restaurant with the ocean all around you so you could look out through glass to see what is swimming around you? Things are not always what they seem. SIGH. Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday to thee E! :)
