Discussion»Questions»Food and Drink» Prohibition made people learn how to make bathtub gin. Do you know how to make any type of a liquor? What do you make?
This is not going to be a big surprise but Yes, I do. ;) :) I can make both Kaluha and Baileys. Kaluha takes a litre of cheap vodka (prefferably 100 proof), sugar, vanilla, and coffee.
Baileys takes heavy cream (or 1/2 & 1/2), sweet condensed milk, Whiskey, (Jameson if you can afford it,) chocolate syrup, vanilla, and coffee.
To make my answer more accurate, these are liqueurs, not liquors, but still fun to make and will save you a bundle!
Have fun and happy buzzing! Cheers to you!

Actually, I was just asking for anything with booze in it, so this more than fits the bill. GOD I wish I knew these recipes when I drank and partied. My friends would have went bonkers for these.
A old timer who used to live next door to me told me how to make moonshine. His Dad showed him how when he was a child. Never tried to make it however.
No. I don't drink any, so... My husband received a beer brewing kit one time as a gift. I think it was his favorite gift of all time. I don't remember there being a lot of homemade beer around the house though. Maybe that was one of his basement activities.
