We both take Atorvastatin Shuhak and we have for years. We started off at 40 mg and then were cut back to 20 mg. After Jim's recent stroke (April 27 but who remembers?) the doc put him back on the 40mg Atorvastatin and added one 81 mg baby aspirin daily. Our cholesterol is always just fine. Are you on a statin drug? The only unfortunate thing is that we can't eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice. It interferes with the efficacy of the statin drug. But that's a small price to pay for peace of mind and consistently good test results. Thank you for your reply! :)

No.  I just had my physical and the bad cholesterol was extremely high (first time).  The doc wants me to alter my diet first, but if that doesn't work I'll have to take something for it.
