When Executive Privilege is asserted isn't it ALWAYS OBSTRUCTING? Unless it has to do with national security?

The Executive ASSERTS to hide something. If it is to hide information that would put Americans in jeopardy of course it ought not be disclosed. But if it only puts the executive in jeopardy of having people find out what a louse he is what should he get away with  it? Just because he can is not a reason that passes the sniff test.

President Trump did not use executive privilege throughout the entire Mueller investigation.

Mueller found nothing. 2+yrs and $40Million and he could not make a case.
