You can change your name and your appearance but you will ALWAYS be stuck with the person you are. It will seep through the disguise. Right?

So in movies the BAD GUY gets some nifty plastic surgery to change his appearance. But he sounds the same and thinks the same so in the end he gets caught anyway by simply being the person he is.

Now I think plastic surgery is a blessing to repair birth defects or disfiguring accidents. But ego jobs or trying to con people into thinking you are someone else? Isn't that really high-class expensive lying?

Changing the outside will not change the inside.

What we are comes from our heart.  One cannot disguise their heart.  What's in there will always show forth in their words and actions.

Plastic surgery is mostly vanity.  No surgeon can change a persons the heart.  They can alter the chassis (bigger boobs, flatter tummy, shorter nose, less fat here and there, etc.), but they cant alter the heart.  Sure, it might give a few a bit more confidence in who they are, but it cannot really change them.  That change can only come from inside themselves.

Precisely. But some folks demand attention and will take any take so they prettify the outside but the inside remains ugly . They get attention alright but at what cost on what level for what purpose? It's very odd to me that so much fakery seems to be celebrated desired supported embraced revered. I'd ask why but well who can answer that question absolutely? This post was edited by RosieG at June 14, 2019 8:58 AM MDT
