    Brand: I AM RICH

Reality: Trump doesn’t have anywhere near $10 billion or even $4 billion as Forbes cited, of the few journalist that saw his tax returns noted in the 1990s Trump’s fortunate was a quarter of a billion. Trump sued him. As Mark Cubin noted this week, even the financial report he released shows his liquid assets are less than a few hundred million, which I know is not net worth, even still, Cuban added it is curious a superrich individual would be so desperate that would need to hock steaks, bottled water, and board games to eke out a living. Either way, the fact that Trump does not have the money to self-fund, not even a fraction for the general election is odd for someone that claims to be a billionaire ten times over. Trump’s father signed off on all of the early deals to guarantee loans, so the self-made man story is bunk.

    Brand: I AM SMART

Reality: Fraud and inheriting wealth do not equal being smart.

Brand: I AM A GREAT BUSINESSMAN

Reality: It is unclear how licensing your name to buildings, buildings you don’t own, which is Trump’s main source of wealth, translates into great or laudable. Or engaging in fraud or bankrupting casinos.

    Brand: I MAKE GREAT DEALS

Reality: Perhaps by great deals, he means not paying workers and being a deadbeat. If that makes a great deal, then sure, Trump does make great deals.

    Brand: I’M NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT

Reality: That is true, if politically correct just means I think white people should be able to use racial slurs in public without any backlash.

    Brand: I AM STRONG

Reality: How many strong men do you know that pay for spray tans or complain about how unfair other people are?

Brand: I WILL MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN

Which translates into: I want white America to be able to ban Muslims, hate Mexicans and other minority groups with impunity, and return to the type of law and order that prevailed in the Jim Crow south. In addition, any criticism of said discrimination and racial animus should be seen as political correctness gone a muck.
