I miss Romney. He spent 2.5 years in France as a missionary for his church away from the comforts of wealth and privilege working on behalf of others. Has Trump done anything comparable?

Romney had no trouble returning to wealth and affluence after his 2.5 years in France. What did it cost for him to shed the appearance of wealth and do his obligatory tour of duty?  I think his role was more as a "recruiter" than a missionary.
