Restraint includes the elements of focus and knowledge and the ability to WAIT for the right time that you can see on the horizon.
Wishy-washy includes NONE of this. They fret and wait for ANYTHING else to happen to take the decision of action from them. They don't want to be responsible. COWARDS and stupid cowards all.
Wishy washy is never stable. The wishy washy SOB sb prez is unfamiliar with restraint on any level. Loose cannon. Time bomb ready to explode. Grenade whose pin is pulled. Dynamite. Atom Bomb. Nuclear Bomb. Chemical or germ warfare. All are him and he is all and any or all of the above dwell deep within and will come out. It could be spectaccalar 4th of July! I admire emotional intelligence - the person who knows when and why it is sometimes necessary to exercise self-restraint.
Wishy-washy is a different matter - that's someone with no boundaries, no assertiveness, probably no confidence, no clear values, and no taste preferences or values - probably someone severely abused in childhood.
Isn't "emotional intelligence" an oxymoron bw? Emotion has nothing at all to do with intellect so I can't see any connection between the two. Apologies to you if you do. Can you intellectually control what you feel, how you feel? Indecisiveness drives me bonkers. I'd rather decide and then correct than wishy washy so long it makes no difference what I do/don't do.
