    I would say it's inevitable.
    Every government moves towards taking more and more power.
    It can't be avoided, only slowed down by The People holding power as long as possible.
    With the advent and widespread use of entertainment to take their minds off their problems (and how government contributes to those problems), The People became too disinterested in controlling government.

    "Oh, I vote every couple years.  I do my part."
    No.  They really don't.

    Oh dear Walt. Well how many citizens never vote? Millions of them. Too lazy to get off their a** and make the effort to investigate the people running for office or the issues. They shrug it off saying politics isn't worth their time. I blame them FIRST MOST. Lazy bums. Complain or are indifferent as long as their life is okay they do not give a rat's a** about anything. I find them disgusting tell you the truth. Very disgusting and very UN-AMERICAN. At least those you speak of DO VOTE! I think every citizen has an OBLIGATION to vote . It is not that much to ask. It doesn't happen every day. But no. I wish I knew of a solution but we cannot make lazy selfish bums care when they are indifferent. Thank you for your reply. So more of the same futurely I guess. :(

    The masses.  The masses triggered it.  We have way too many people who are not invested in anything political and do not have the capacity nor wherewithal to understand they have any kind of power at all.  How could they?  There are so many people on earth that are victims.  How can we all possible educate enough of the ever-growing masses on the planet to evolve with love and compassion when we have NONE for them? 

    We think as Trump does.  They are in our way.  They are the ONLY way.  We need to understand that people have wants and needs and need to be governed with love and respect.  

    THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. IT just is not.  There are too many egos and too much at stake for those in power to ever acquiesce to any wants of any people they need to share the goods with.
